This is an exceptionally nice big 5yo colt by leading Coolmore stallion Mastercraftsman out of a Group 3 winning mare Kya One.
Crafty is a big boy, a good 16.2hh at the moment and cantering away nicely at Robbies.
His sire was European Champion 2yo and a Classic winner at three, just a little unfortunate to be the same generation as Sea The Stars otherwise his CV would have more Group 1 wins on it!
Mastercraftsman has himself produced many decent offspring on the flat in The Grey Gatsby, Kingston Hill and Alpha Centauri among others.
Over hurdles he has been represented by Grade 2 hurdle winners Master Blueyes, Intense Tango and Wolf Of Windlesham.
Dam Kya One is a Group 3 and Listed winner on the flat over nine furlongs and herself a half sister to prolific French staying chaser Kyalco, a Listed winner and Grade placed at Auteuil.
